Traveling in Bolivia
Bolivia has many low cost options for transportation:
Taxi
Traveling within cities and short distances within Bolivia are easy by taxi. Expect to pay around 10-30 Bolivianos for travel within a city. For safety, it is recommended that you use a Radio Taxi.
Trufi
The Trufi system is a privately-run loose network of vans serving public transportation needs. There are many routes within the trufi system, and it can be very difficult to find any centralized information source for either schedule or routes.
Bus
Buses within Bolivia are plentiful and inexpensive. Every city has a terminal from which buses leave and arrive frequently. All of the busses are operated by private companies.
Plane
A number of airlines provide flights within Bolivia. Every major city and many small cities host an airport.
